From the boy who scribbled drawings of cars into his schoolbooks, he became a freelance designer and technical illustrator after graduating in Industrial Design. To compensate for his exact, detailed work, he continued to paint racing cars in his spare time - a passion that led him to participate in the design contest for the Mille Miglia poster in 2000.

The 1937 Delage V12 Labourdette was built to compete in Le Mans that year, but mysteriously never made it and there is little evidence of the car left except for a few photos.
So the whole scene is pure fiction. The Bugatti T57 in the background is the actual winner of that race.
